This post originates from my contribution to the 2020 SCS Panel on Humanities Publishing organized by Deborah Stewart and sponsored by the FCSLSC I have spent the entirety of my career in collections. My first position was at the University of Kansas. I had a typewriter to produce order slips and I remember hauling around the volumes of the German books in print.
