The ISAW Library has made the metadata describing items in the Ancient World Digital Library (AWDL) available to other libraries and institutions, so that open access items in AWDL be made more discoverable and accessible to the wider scholarly public. This post originates from my contribution to the 2020 SCS Panel on Humanities Publishing organized by Deborah Stewart and sponsored by the FCSLSC I have spent the entirety of my career in collections. My first position was at the University of Kansas. I had a typewriter to produce order slips and I remember hauling around the volumes of the German books in print.
